Project of development of network of clubs for adults and elderly people The project titled “Development of network of clubs for adults and elderly people” has been submitted to the City Department for Social and Children’s Protection. The main objective of the Project is widening of the club network with eight new clubs and providing for conditions for inclusion of a larger number of beneficiaries into active contents offered by clubs. The deadline for Project implementation is the end of 2009 Programme of “Efficient communication with elderly people” The programme titled “Efficient communication with elderly people” is one of 73 accredited training programmes that are carried out by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Republic of Serbia. The authors of the Programme are psychologists Isidora Petkovic and Maja Babic and graduate social worker Milana Budurin. The main objective of the Programme is enhancing of professional competences that are significant in the field of protection of elderly people: acquiring of communication skills and knowledge for implementation of integrated approach to protection of elderly people and adequate satisfying of their needs, which results with enhancing of quality of residential form of care. The training of staff of the Gerontological Centre is currently in progress. It is conducted by the authors of the programme. The deadline for completion of the Programme is the second half of 2009.
