Shelter station – day-care centre for homeless people
Shelter station - day-care centre for homeless people is located at the address: Novi Sad, Bulevar Kralja Petra I no. 28 C.
This open form of social protection is aimed at admission of acutely socially and health threatened people in the territory of the City of Novi Sad. It provides certain services, such as:
- Providing of relevant documentation necessary for identification
- Assistance in exercising certain rights in the field of health and social protection
- Setting of communication with the competent centres for social work and families of beneficiaries
- Organisation of medical treatment or admission in the Shelter Centre for adults and elderly people
- Transport to health care facilities or to the Shelter Centre
- Return to the place of residence (buying of tickets)
- Hygienic treatment (bathing, hair cutting, changing of clothes, washing and drying of clothes, providing underwear and other second hand clothes and shoes)
- Feeding (dry meals and hot drinks)

Those services are provided by:
- • Two social workers (working in two shifts)
- • Four nursing assistants
- • two clerks for social-prevention work-drivers
- • One cleaning lady
